The Pistonhead is simply an outlet for my musings and cool automotive content. I run across interesting stories both on the Internet and in my life as well as stories of folks and cars that I meet. This is also a site where I can focus on my passion for all things mechanical and make noise. There are so many interesting, cool, and fun topics and this site allows me to explore them and let let others get some insight into my enthusiasm. I also get some writing practice while I work on my next book.
The Challenger you see here is my current project. I’ll be updating the status of that from time to time since it’s the physical representation of my automotive addiction.
I’ve always loved cars from the time I was a little kid playing with Hotwheels and Matchbox. I’ve known for a long time that my dream career was in the car industry somewhere but didn’t know how to do that. I’m still unclear where my goals specifically lie but I think focusing on my passion is a good start on the right track. I’ve recently realized that I need to begin focusing on what I love and not the elusive dream. If you have a passion, learn all you can about it and become an expert. Since it is your love, it won’t be work and drudgery.
If you have any comments or questions, drop a line. As a side note, the picture in the header is my late uncle who was one of the people in my life who was instrumental to my indoctrination into cars. The car is also an interesting example that I’ll cover later.
